Today started out early with a 7:00 am taxi ride to the train station for a hour ride to Venice. There was a speed indicator at the end of the train car and at one point it indicated 160 km per hour. I do not know how accurate it was but it did not seem like 99 miles per hour, however it was fast....
I was so touched to see that upon our arrival in Venice they had sailed a boat in front of us named after me
Beautiful glass art
One can not resist purchasing glass art when visiting Murano
A gondola ride is a must when visiting Venice. I was getting ready to sing for the girls when we heard a beautiful operatic voice come echoing down the canal saving them...
Two must have paintings that we saw. Now we are trying to figure where they are going to fit in the house.
The famous Rialto Bridge. What is interesting is that the bridge is actually quite wide with vendor stalls on each side of it as seen below.
Shirl has mastered Italian in just three days, she points, nods, and grunts approval. It seems to work...
Tomorrow is a down day. Instead of going back to Venice we are going to just take a day off and rest our tired bodies. Thursday we hope to go up north to Lake Gardo.
Good Night,
